Bengaluru, India – Bosch Power Tools India, a leading provider of power tools for the construction, woodworking, and metalworking sectors, is delighted to declare the celebration of its 30 years of operations in India. Since its establishment in 1993, the division has become one of the leading suppliers of power tools and accessories in the country with a strong focus on the establishment of top-tier manufacturing.

Bosch Power Tools is committed to captivating users with world-class products while prioritizing their health and safety. Over the span of 30 years, the company has expanded its reach, establishing a presence in over 600+ districts across the country. In 2022, Bosch Power Tools successfully extended its footprint to encompass tier 2 and 3 cities in India, resulting in a remarkable double digit growth rate. Bosch Power Tools India aims to contribute to the Indian infrastructure sector’s impressive growth trajectory.

A decade after its inception the company achieved a significant milestone by selling 1 Lakh tools in India. The following year, it recorded a turnover of INR 100 crores.

In 2016, the company also inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant located in Oragadam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The plant, which boasts a 100% female workforce on the assembly lines, exemplifies Bosch's commitment to diversity and inclusion in its operations. The power tools plant in Chennai has emerged as a vital supplier of power tools in India, both in terms of value and volume. Furthermore, between 2016 and 2018, Bosch Power Tools received the prestigious Plant Excellence Award, further affirming its dedication to manufacturing excellence.

These achievements contributed to a remarkable milestone for Bosch Power Tools in 2018. Additionally, in 2020, the plant proudly celebrated the production of its 10-millionth power tool. Bosch Power Tools’ momentum continues into a new year, with the introduction of the GWS 800 Professional, a professional angle grinder, it achieved a localization share of over 50% in India.

The company has demonstrated its customer-centric approach and engineering and manufacturing progress over the past three decades. Bosch Power Tools India continues to invest in the country and is dedicated to being a partner its customers can rely upon.
